De asemenea, Microsoft Office Mobile este compatibil si cu smartphone-urile si se poate descarca gratuit din App Store, iar utilizatorii pot folosi aplicatia gratuit doar pentru vizualizarea documentelor. Cei ce vor sa creeze si sa editeze documentele existente trebuie sa isi faca un cont pe Office 365 si sa plateasca un abonament lunar de 10 dolari sau un abonament anual de 100 de dolari.
