Acum, au mai aparut o serie, care spun ca Google va lansa o tableta low-cost, de 7 inch, undeva in perioada iunie - iulie 2012. Initial, se asteapta livrari de pana la 600.000 de unitati iar pana la sfarsitul anului sa ajunga la un total de 2.5 milioane unitati. Astfel, se asteapta o competitie puternica pe piata tabletelor de 7 inch in a doua parte a anului curent. ChromeOS e ideal pentru asa ceva (toate programele mai solicitante fiind defapt "in the cloud"), insa cand esti offline cam dai de dracu.. Totusi, cu un 3g( sau chiar 4g) bun, pare sa fie mult mai buna decat o tableta android sau chiar Ipad.
