SimCity era asteptat initial in luna februarie 2013, insa cei de la Electronic Arts au facut o rectificare, anuntand ca jocul va fi lansat in Europa pe data de 8 martie 2013. Exact, chiar de ziua femeii :D.

SimCity este creat pe baza engine-ului GlassBox, jucatorii urmand sa ia decizii ce vor avea un impact dincolo de granitele metropolelor pe care le vor construi, fie ca va fi vorba de gasirea unor surse alternative de energie sau supravietuirea in fata unor dezastre naturale.
