Conform celor de la Microsoft preturile pentru Windows 8.1 sunt similare celor ale Windows 8 dupa cum urmeaza:

• daca detineti o licenta de Windows 8, Windows 8.1 este disponibil sub forma de update, gratuit.
• daca nu detineti o licenta de Windows 8, Windows 8.1 (Core)  costa 119.99 dolari iar Windows 8.1 Pro costa 199.99 dolari.
• upgrade-ul la Windows 8.1 Pro de pe un device cu Windows 8.1 pre-instalat costa 99.99 dolari.

*preturile publicate sunt pentru clientii din SUA, pentru Europa/Romania nefiind publicate inca.
