Intr-o perioada in care majoritatea asteapta ieftinirea discurilor flash (SSD), Samsung lanseaza pe piata un nou harddisk de 1.8 inch cu 60GB capacitate de stocare.

Grosimea harddisk-ului este de doar 5mm, acesta fiind destinat sistemelor portabile. Noul HDD dispune de 2MB memorie cache si de un singur platan ce este rotit la 4200rpm.
