Eliminare "cg.exe" Coins Geek (Tine Cpu In 99%)

Cu ceva timp in urma o cunostinta s-a plans ca PC-ul (nu unul slab) a inceput sa se miste foarte greu, din cand in cand chiar inghetand pentru cateva secunde. In prima faza i-am sugerat sa arunce o privire in Task Manager si sa imi spuna ce valoare este trecuta in dreptul CPU. Procesorul statea in 99-100%. Am aruncat o privire asupra proceselor si am observat ca toate erau in limite normale cu exceptia unuia: cg.exe.

La click dreapta pe proces -> open file location am aflat ca locatia executabilului cg era in: C:/Program Files/Coins Geek pe langa care se mai aflau si alte cateva fisiere .dll.

 

La o cautare pe Google despre cg.exe majoritatea site-urilor spun ca:

 

cg.exe is a process belonging to an advertising program by DelFin. This process monitors your browsing habits and distributes the data back to the author's servers for analysis. This also prompts advertising popups. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.

 

Totusi, in cazul de fata nu prea se potrivea, persoana cu problema mai sus mentionata nefiind bombardata cu reclame. Cert era ca executabilul impreuna cu tot continutul folder-ului Coins Geek trebuiau sterse.

 

Daca incercam un End Process din Task Manager, cg.exe nu se inchidea, nici de-al naibii. Daca incercam stergearea folder-ului din Program Files, bineinteles ca nu mergea, Windows-ul spunandu-mi ca cg.exe se afla in lucru si nu poate fi eliminat.

 

Asadar, solutia este "omorarea" procesului. Cu siguranta sunt mai multe cai de a face asta, insa mie mi s-a parut cea mai la indemana urmatoarea comanda in CMD (Command Prompt: Start -> Search/Run -> cmd):

taskkill /f /im cg.exe

Odata omorat procesul, stergerea (Shift+Delete) folder-ului Coins Geek din C:/Program Files a mers ca unsa, iar problema a fost rezolvata.
