In ceea ce pare a fi cea mai ampla miscare Linux-desktop a companiei, IBM planuieste sa lanseze o distributie bazata fie pe SUSE, fie pe RedHat Linux, in care sa instaleze Firefox si aplicatii Lotus. Partea interesanta este ca IBM nu va oferi acest desktop tutror clientilor ci se va folosi de un model prestabilit pentru a determina cine primeste Windows si cine primeste Linux, in functie de necesitati.
