Pana si in jocul "The Sims" se castiga bine din "Military".
  4. Feedback.. means feedback.. all kind of stuff. We want to improve this area, also, improve ourselves !! First of all: stop criticizing other people for written English. Nobody is perfect, and we all learn from each other. We are not all born geniuses. We live, we progress, we learn and we succeed. Second, third, fourth and so on... keep the posting flowing and ..."keep your heads ringing" like our good doctor Dre said once.
Muzica, filme, gadget-uri, ...lucrezi ?activezi in domeniu? etc
  7. Depending on who you think of when writing the password haha !
  8. It seemed pretty awsome to me when I first read it. I promised I will try it soon, but then I forgot. But my account is used for several stuff that are running every day/week, so I wont change it once a month, because I would have to change in 10 other places to keep some jobs running... I'm lazy.. But the principle it's based on it's not new. Remember a documentary called "The Secret" or something with secret.. It implies you thinking on something until you get it. Result is unexpected and as explained in the documentary, it's based on good and bad thoughts....it;s to much to describe and discuss here, but I think you got the point. In any case it's an interesting and funny story that is worth the share.
  9. Saracul Bill, cred ca viseaza urat in fiecare noapte.
  12. by Mauricio Estrella BS (before scriptum): have I ever posted this before on PC troubleshooting ? eh.? we shall see.. . Let me know what do you think about this.. How could she do something like this to me?" said a voice in my head. All the time. Every day. Back in 2011, when everything had gradients, iOS icons made sense, and people used deodorants, I was stuck in middle of a pretty bad depression due to my divorce. Thankfully, I think I was smart enough (and had great people around me) so I managed my way out. One day I walk into the office, and my day begins at my computer screen. It was all great, until I saw this message: Your password has expired. Click 'Change password' to change your password. No shit. I thought clicking 'Change password' was gonna do something else. I read this dumb message in my mind with angry grandpa voice: The damn password has expired. At my workplace, the Microsoft Exchange server is configured to ask thousands of employees around the planet to change their passwords. Every 30 days. Here is the horseshit: The server forces us to use at least one UPPERCASE character, at least one lowercase alphabetic character, at least one symbol and at least one number. Oh, and the whole damn thing can't be less than eight characters. And I can't use any of the same passwords I've used in the last three months. I was furious that morning. Tuesday, 9:40 a.m. It was so hot that my torso was already sweaty even though I just got to work. I was late. I was still wearing my helmet. I think I forgot breakfast. Something tastes like cigarette in my mouth. I need to get shit done before my 10 a.m. meeting and all I have in front of me is a huge waste of my time. So there it was... this input field with a pulsating cursor, waiting for me to type a password that I'll have to re-enter for the next 30 days. Many times during the day. Then, letting all the frustration go, I remembered a tip I heard from my former boss. I'm gonna use a password to change my life. It was obvious that I couldn't focus on getting things done with my current lifestyle and mood. Of course, there were clear indicators of what I needed to do -- or what I had to achieve -- in order to regain control of my life, but we often don't pay attention to these clues. My password became the indicator. My password reminded me that I shouldn't let myself be victim of my recent break up, and that I'm strong enough to do something about it. My password became: "Forgive@h3r" I had to type this statement several times a day. Each time my computer would lock. Each time my screensaver with her photo would appear. Each time I would come back from eating lunch alone. In my mind, I went with the mantra that I didn't type a password. In my mind, I wrote "Forgive her" every day, for one month. That simple action changed the way I looked at my ex wife. That constant reminder that I should forgive her, led me to accept the way things happened at the end of my marriage, and embrace a new way of dealing with the depression that I was drowning into. In the following days, my mood improved drastically. By the end of the second week, I noticed that this password became less powerful, and it started to lose its effect. A quick refresh of this 'mantra' helped me. I thought to myself I forgive her as I typed it, every time. The healing effect of it came back almost immediately. One month later, my dear exchange server asked me again to renew my password. I thought about the next thing I had to get done. My password became Quit@smoking4ever And guess what happened. I shit you not. I quit smoking overnight. This password was a painful one to type during that month, but doing it helped me to yell at myself in my mind, as I typed that statement. It motivated me to follow my monthly goal. One month later, my password became Save4trip@thailand Guess where I went three months later. Thailand. With savings. Thank you, password. So, I learned that I can truly change my life if I play it right. I kept doing this repeatedly month after month, with great results. Here is an extract of what some of my passwords have been in the last two years, so you get an idea of how my life has changed, thanks to this method: Forgive@her ← to my ex-wife, who started it all. Quit@smoking4ever ← it worked. Save4trip@thailand ← it worked. Eat2times@day ← it never worked, still fat. Sleep@before12 ← it worked. Ask@her4date ← it worked. I fell in love again. No@drinking2months ← it worked. I feel better. Get@c4t! ← it worked. I have a beautiful cat. Facetime2mom@sunday ← it worked. I talk with my mom every week. And the one for last month: Save4@ring ← Yep. Life is gonna change again, soon. I still await very anxiously each month so I can change my password into something that I need to get done. This method has consistently worked for me for the last two years, and I have shared it with a few close friends and relatives. I didn't think it was a breakthrough in tiny habits but it did have a great impact in my life, so I thought to share it with you all. Try it yourself! Write these statements with the right mindset and attitude, and you'll change your life. Let me know how it works for you! Remember, for added security, try to be a bit more complex with the words. Add symbols or numbers, or scramble a bit the beginning or the ending of your password string. S4f3ty_f1rst! Pass the tip to those who might need it. 13. I know... me too.
  14. You're bored because you don't have anything to do ? What did you expect ? First day, make a plan, second day, rule the world ? Take it easy, you will not be bored for much longer.
  18. Cel mai probabil nu iti mai recunoaste contul conectat pt Play Magazin...sau cum ii spune in limba in care ai setata tableta. incearca alta aplicatie. si vezi rezultatul...
  19. iDe pana mea !
  20. Hey boys and girls, We would like to have some feedback on this section of the forum. It's uncharacteristic for PCTroubleshooting.ro to have a section in English. Foreign people or not...I think that this is important. Lets take some time to suggest some stuff that can improve our small community. What should/could/would this section have/add/remove/improve/focus on ? And all other crazy/creepy/funny/strange ideas that you have. Please excuse my Kremlin accent, but we all need the excercise..and it's good for our health.
  21. Interesting.. but this topic will get boring and .."heavy" as more embeded video files are added
  22. You'll get bored only when you don't like your job. This applies to IT and any other domain you practice... Take my experience as a fact... in a company...any company...working in IT department, it will be frustrating...stresfull.. but never boring... you have a computer..and a network... you have an admin ... and a network... study.. ask....test..make mistakes..but it only gets boring when you are over qualified for the tasks you are doing and you're not doing anything about it.
  23. I am hoping you wont get to 40, and be bored working in IT. It's not all that bad. But first years in IT might cause frustrations.
  24. Deci, nu, nu , nu ! Pai eu trebuie sa-mi cumpar pc pentru jocul asta !!
  25. Copyright: Linkedin Found this a few days ago... it's funny and true ! An Honest Message From Your IT Guy August 09, 2014 inShare5,964 Hello from the Nerd side of the fence! I was recently reading about some of the standard things IT guys go through and it has inspired me to write a message from your IT guy. Yes, s/he really is thinking these things. I promise. Please don't lie to me. It's pathetic. Apparently I'm smart enough to fix every computer problem the entire staff can come up with, but I'm too dumb to realize that your monitor / computer / phone / tablet did not throw itself at high velocities onto the floor. While your excuses for how "SquirrelLove.XXX" ended up in your browsing history shortly before a massive virus outbreak are endlessly entertaining (and shared amongst the other techs in a game of "Who Has The Most Pathetic Lie"), there are also pathetic. Man up. You did it. You got caught. I'm going to help you out either way. Perhaps you could also use this embarrassment as a time to pause for personal reflection on some areas of personal improvement. Such as not taking your frustration out on expensive electronic devices. No. Your company doesn't trust you. For good reason. I know that you're pure as the wind-driven snow, but there are some inescapable facts that persist about those other employees. Such as the fact that, without any filtering active, porn is *always* the #1 use of bandwidth on a companies network. And that "small accessories" (laptop chargers, cables, any parts of wireless keyboards/mice, etc.) seem to disappear on a regular basis. I know that these are all small items, but the way your company sees it, if you're going to steal / "extendo-borrow" / outfit your home with low cost IT equipment, what are the chances that you are *not* going to steal anything that isn't bolted down? Er...I mean those other employees. Not you. It's really not your computer. Yes, I know that it is moving slowly again. I'm sure that it isn't the 20MB cool moving picture file you've chosen as a background that the computer has to constantly redraw. Or the audio / video streaming you've gotten hidden in the background. Or the 5 chat applications you're running. It's really not your computer. I know that your e-mail / Word / application-vital-to-your-productivity-that-you-blamed-to-explain-to-your-boss-having-done-nothing started working when I walked up, but it never works any other time. Let's make a deal. I won't tell your boss what you're really doing if you figure out some new stories that don't involve IT to explain what's not happening. I hear sickness is a popular one. It's really not your computer. I know the company wants it attached to you at all times just in case they decide that some report is vital at midnight. I get that your boss has flashes of brilliance that require you to create a new spreadsheet / chart / presentation within 18 1/2 minutes and so you've learned to always have your laptop within reach. I get it - I promise. However, it really isn't your computer. No, you can't load / view / configure it any way you want to. Putting giant camo skull stickers on it doesn't make it any more yours. Yes, most any IT guy can see everything on it and no amount of yelling will fix that (although it might make some guys want to look even more). And since I will admit that there are unscrupulous IT guys with too much time on their hands in some companies, yes I really would put a piece of tape over the built-in camera. Yes, we think those password requirements are ridiculous, too. I know the requirement to have no word recognizable in any language as part of your password is perhaps a little overkill. Yes, I agree that a minimum password length of 32 characters might be going overboard. And I recognize (and try to explain to the IT security guys) that the more complex the password is, the more likely it is going to be written on a Post-It on the bottom of the keyboard. On the other hand, there are limits as to what we All-Powerful Nerds can do. Complaining piteously to me every time you have to change your password won't change policies or fix your problem. No, you shouldn't tell me what your password is because I don't care and will forget it in 30 seconds. I don't need your password to gain access to your computer. Lastly, while we're on passwords, please pick something non-embarrassing. StudMuffin01 is going to be pretty embarrassing to tell me if I need to log in as you. And you can bet I'm going to ask you to speak up and say it louder, even though I heard you say, "ImAPrettyPrincess!" loud and clear. And yes, I can pick a password for you that both of us will remember for a long time to come, but you probably don't want me to, DrBrainFog#1.
